Topic: Stream Stabilization

Ms. Dotts will conduct a practical discussion on how to evaluate a stream corridor and select the most effective stabilization methods based on project goals. Sharon will present key points about the engineer’s role in  evaluating a stream for stabilization and selecting the optimum design to meet project goals. She will discuss stream evaluation techniques, data collection during field visits, design considerations and design methods. Attendees will learn about providing flood relief, protecting infrastructure, maintaining safe public access and MS4-Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System considerations.
